Bylaw
X: Non-Discrimination X-A. Patients: Patients attended by Chalice clinical staff have, without exception, a terminal diagnosis and a DNR (do not resuscitate) advance directive. Patients received in the Pain Clinic are not terminal, but live with great suffering. For both clinical programs, patient care admissions do not and will not reflect any discrimination among individuals on the basis of kinds of diagnosis or the illness, age, creed, ethnicity, gender, marital status, national origin, race, or sexual orientation.
X-B. Faculty & Staff: Faculty and staff employment policies reflect the search for excellence in appropriate fields of expertise, alignment with the mission statement and values of the Corporation, and demonstrable proficiencies and competencies with oral and written communication. However, employee recruitment does not and will not reflect any discrimination among individuals based on age, creed, ethnicity, gender, marital status, national origin, race, or sexual orientation.
